Succotash Clips Epi177: Fallin' For Clips

Saluton, estas mi, Tyson Saner welcoming you to Succotash, The Comedy Soundcast Soundcast. The podcast that dares to call itself a soundcast that features clips from other soundcasts...allegedly of the comedic variety...sometimes merely comedy-adjacent.

That is to say, if you have a soundcast and it can be considered a comedy related soundcast I may have listened to it, I may have already clipped it...former-host-now-executive producer Marc Hershon may have clipped it...or I have yet to hear it.

And when I do hear it, I will probably clip it and feature it here on Succotash, The Comedy Soundcast Soundcast" because that's what this soundcast is all about.

You want clips?  We've got clips. This epi features content from: Awards Chatter, Broad Topix, Just Joshin', Entry Level with Brooks Wheelan, About Last Night and Come To Papa.

But wait - there's more! In addition to clips, we've got our Burst O' Durst segment with political wag and social gadfly Will Durst which is opening our show this time around and another reading from our still-pretty-new sponsor TrumPoetry.com...

DAS CLIPS

Awards Chatter
Moderated by The Hollywood Reporter's Scott Feinberg, Awards Chatter features in-depth interviews with the most interesting and accomplished people in show business. His guest back on May 7th of this year, which this epi dropped was Samantha Bee, the host of TBS' Full Frontal. Our clip features her talking about the chronology of former host of Comedy Central's The Daily Show Jon Stewart's departure, and the beginning of her own show.

Entry Level with Brooks Wheelan
This is a podcast about all those jobs we've had that sucked. Each episode host Brooks Whelan interviews a guest to find out what garbage they had to put up before they got to the position they're in now. John Roy, winner of Star Search in 2003, was Brooks' guest back in April of this year, talking about his run of bad managers.

About Last Night
We've clipped About Last Night on Succotash before but it's always fun to hear what hosts and comedians Brad Williams and Adam Ray are up to — as it says on the iTunes description: "From sex, to sports, to booze, when a dwarf and a Jew come together the results are unpredictable but always entertaining." Their guest in July was the great Bill Burr, who covered a gamut of topics - being a parent, bullying, high school days, and more. Our clip shaves off a slice of that action for you…

Broad Topix
Hosts Kim Congdon and Alex Scarlato use their soundcast Broad Topix as a platform to cover everything from near-death experiences to naming their vaginas. We clip from an episode released just this month, where the hosts recount their adventure-filled trip to Vegas, baby!

Savage Henry Magazine Radio Network

After a mighty long slumber, hosts Chris Durant and Daniel Amaral welcome the rebirth of the Savage Henry Magazine Radio Program, a new special producer and ringleader, Michelle Meyers, as well as a the show debut of guest Just Joshiní. Host of Just Joshiní, Joshua Barnes is joined by studio hosts, Evan Vest and Matt Redbeard. Our clip features conversation about host Josh Barnes's recently discovered appreciation for Fleetwood Mac.

Come To Papa
A positive podcast from stand-up comedian/actor/writer/bread maker/friend to all Tom Papa. This clip is about a special promotion during a live epi of the show from July featuring guests Judy Gold, Robert Kelly, Colin Quinn, Keith Robinson, Dave Hill, Bonnie McFarlane, Olivia Vessel, and Rick Crom.

And just like that...the show is near over. I close another chapter of the audiobook that is Succotash, The Comedy Soundcast Soundcast. It's time to sweep up the eyeballs...oh wait I used that one already...didn't I?  Ugh I...I can't remember...a wiki for the show would be so handy as a reference tool ...sadly the rules of Wikipedia wouldn't allow me to do it myself...as far as I know...I don't understand how Wikipedia works really...is there a Vox video?

I'll look it up after I get done here. Thank you so much for joining me whenever you are listening. If you like us here at Succotash and you'd like to help us out, it would be great if you could write a review on iTunes or anywhere they let you write reviews really...online that is...well, you know what?  I'm cool with print media...

Also there is Succomerch available at our Succotashery (https://www.cafepress.com/succotashshow) and I imagine that's another great way to show us love by showing off your love of us to others...sharing us with others...loving us together...It's a huge and wonderful favor you'd be doing us, being our mascot of sorts...sharing images of yourself on social media with our shirts on...being featured on our Social Media sites...that sort of modern reciprocal love that is just another fantastic way that you could ...if you were to be so inclined to make a fashion statement AND (Please) Pass the Succotash...
