Hello, chumley (I’m talking to you, dear reader), and I am glad that things here in the good ol' US of A seem to be sort of simmering down. Maybe. Kinda? It, at least, FEELS like it’s getting betterer. Marc Hershon here to usher you through Epi237 of Succotash Shut-In: The Soundcast Stimulus Package. The California shelter in place order just got lifted yesterday for now and, who knows, by the time our office 10th anniversary rolls around this April, we may be able to go back to being just plain ol’ Succotash, the Comedy Soundcast Soundcast again.
We’ve got a special guest sharing the SuccoZoom Studio with me today but before we get to him I wanted to ask if you caught our most recent Episode 236 with our alternating host Tyson Saner. He featured a few marvelous clips last week from the soundcasts Love, Alexi, Strange Times, and In the Envelope: The Actor’s Podcast. Go scoop up a big earful of soundcast goodness at Apple and Google Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, iHeart Radio, YouTube, the Laughable app, or from our own homesite, SuccotashShow.com.
My guest today is the amazingly hard-working and detail-oriented Chris Mancini! You probably know Chris from his ten-year tenure aboard the Comedy Film Nerds soundcast that he co-hosted with Graham Elwood. We’ve chatted with him a number of times in the past on this show, usually when I was down at the Los Angeles Podcast Festival, which he, Graham, Dave Anthony, and Andy Wood spearheaded for five years. We talk about why that endeavor came to a halt but it sure was fun to be a part of that every year.
Chris has a lot going on, from graphic novels and not one, two, but three soundcasts running concurrently. We talk about it all and dig a little bit deeper into the history and the mystery that is Chris Mancini…
You can link up to everything Chris has going on at whitecatentertainment.com, including his three soundcasts: What Are You Watching?, The Quiet Journeys of Professor Atwood, and Conversations from the Abyss. You can also follow him on Twitter @ChrisJMancini.
I’ll just say thanks for dropping by, please remember to rate and review us where they let you get away with that stuff – it costs nothing for you to do it and it means the world to us. And remember that Tyson will be here before you know it with a lovely packet of soundcast clips just for you.
Until we meet again, be good to each other, wear a damn mask, and if anyone asks if you’ve heard anything good lately, won’t you please pass the Succotash?
— Marc Hershon
