This week I have no clips to share with you. Instead, I’ll be doing the thing we often do here on the show – chatting it up with a person who is a comedian, an actor, a musician, and who is no stranger to podcasting. He had his own for a while, as a matter of fact. He’s been in movies, on TV, and on the standup comedy stage for what will be 50 years around next year sometime. A longtime buddy of mine, and a longtime friend of the show – his first appearance was on Episode 6, which dropped 10 year and 2 months ago – it’s none other than Rick Overton!
Rick’s got a comedy rap sheet as long as your arm, with lots of memorable roles in films like Groundhog Day, Beverly Hills Cop, Blind Fury, and many more. You can catch his latest effort from the comfort of your own home: Rick Overton’s Set List. It’s a great hour of one-man improvisation with the compelling set-up from the Set List format. Basically Rick, at the top of his game, thinking on his feet as premises are thrown at him with no time to prepare.
